Bilde fra forestillingen Sadji

Sadji is a Sami word and means track or mark after something.

The Sadji performance is inspired by the artist duo 2eina’s meeting with the Sami multi-artist Nils-Aslak Valkeapää’s work. Valkeapää received the 1991 Nordic Council Literature Prize. He has been an ambassador for Sami art and culture and is still an inspiration for today's Sami artists.

The artist duo 2eina consists of the artists Ann Christin Nordberg and Asbjørn Forsøget.

Ann Christin Nordberg is a performing artist, actor, theater teacher and instructor. She works with the creative process, idea development and communication in art and culture.

Asbjørn Forsøget is a visual artist. He works with painting, sculpture, performance, installation and ceramics.

Sadji is an invitation into the Sámi art universe. The text and music performed is written and composed by multi-artist Nils-Aslak Valkeapää. The performance strives to give the audience a unique experience and inspire a desire to learn more about the man and the artist who has been such a great source of inspiration for the Sami artistic expression.
